WHAT WE DO

Tutoring

Cursos matemáticas asesorías consltoría machine learning

Customised courses.

These courses are inspired by the tutorial system created by some British universities. Customised courses are 12 weeks long for 2 hours per week (3 hours for students in basic levels). We are flexible with schedules. The course involves weekly marked homework assignments, customised lecture notes, parcial and final exams that will help to rank the student with respect to analogous courses offered by Universities. The syllabus is chosen by the professor based on the needs and background of each student. The maximum capacity of the customised courses is of 2 students.

Bootcamps

They are intensive and group courses, the hours are spread over hours that last a month. For example, we have offered some of 8 hours, others of 18 hours and up to 27. The most frequent subjects of these courses are Machine Learning, Data Science and Finance. Commonly, aspects of the implementation of what is learned are included, either in Ptyhon or R, although the emphasis is not on programming but on the study of mathematics. Each course includes concrete case studies where the learned methods were used, as well as a document with course notes and graded assignments.

Public lectures

One of the fundamental objectives of the Bourbaki college is to convey to students, the general public and the industry, the practical advantages and the pleasure involved in knowing the details of mathematical activity. Since our creation we have convened and participated in talks organized by companies such as IBM, BBVA, Facebook, Elastic, also by communities such as WIDS, The Data Pub, Society of Scientists Anonymous or Data Science and Engineering Monterrey. Another fundamental objective of the Bourbaki School is collaboration with the academy and so far we have collaborated in research seminars at UAM, UNAM, IPN, ITAM, University of Miami and CIMAT.

Online Courses

We understand that some of the courses cannot be taught in person, therefore we offer students the possibility of taking our courses remotely on any of the platforms that we use such as Zoom, GoWebinar, Hangouts, Ruzuku, etc.

Online mode is supported by video interaction, personalized notes from all our courses and an electronic whiteboard so that the learning experience is complete and simple.

Ludic Courses

The aim of ludic courses is to promote the most beautiful and fun aspects of mathematics. These courses are designed for people curious to learn more math. Thus we assume that they are not necessarily motivated by professional reasons, although we always seek to relate them to reality. These types of courses are characterized by being relaxed and promoting a scientific culture.

Some of the topics that we have proposed to study their involved mathematics are the following:

  1. The work of the artist Escher

  2. The shape of the turtle shell

  3. Chaos Theory and Arithmetics

  4. Music and its mathematical interpretation

  5. Network theory

We invite you to learn more in our catalog of mini-courses.
